Phil Holden is a professional photographer with 30 years’ experience, who travels to beaches near and far in search of the perfect waves and light as a pioneering water photographer. His work has been published worldwide in surf publications and exhibitions and he is Principal Photographer of Edge Magazine and Editor of Surf Magazine. A selection of his surfing photographs and coastal images of Gower will be on show at Bali Hai.
Up, up and away, the attic studio of Sara Holden overlooks Mumbles Hill Local Nature Reserve in one direction, and sea views from Bracelet Bay to Langland Bay in the other. Sara works in several genres and media, including painting, sculpture and collage. Her inspiration mainly comes from the sea during walks and visits to the beautiful beaches of Gower where she collects driftwood to paint upon. The found objects she seeks have a worn patina and interesting textures that she aims to enhance. These contemporary paintings are part of Sara’s Sarandipity Fine Art collection, which feature the sea, birds and flowers that she will show at Bali Hai.
