Aida’s artworks draw on the life around her, landscape, shops, factories, cafes. She makes bodies of work, lighting on a subject, researching, drawing, taking photographs and talking to people. Her work is based on observation, imagination and chance. She has written poems, prose and reflections in response to her images, and is making new images to accompany words. Aida has exhibited alone, and contributed to group exhibitions in Wales, England and Ireland. The Arts Council of Wales has awarded her grants for research and development. Aida works in a cabin in a garden surrounded by flowers, bushes, fruit trees, vines and vegetable beds. Her work is exhibited in there and around the house and garden. The house overlooks Swansea Bay and there is a sea view from the garden.
